The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has announced the CM Punjab Internship Program 2024, a transformative initiative aimed at offering valuable experience to recent agriculture graduates. This program provides both male and female candidates with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the agriculture sector while earning a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000. It is one of the most significant internship schemes in the history of Pakistan’s agriculture sector.
Program Overview: The CM Punjab Internship Program 2024 is designed for young, fresh graduates in agriculture from Punjab Province. This initiative will enable participants to work with agricultural companies and develop essential skills. The deadline for submitting applications is August 5, 2024.
Objectives of the Program:
- Skill Enhancement: Provide recent agriculture graduates with professional knowledge in leadership, communication, and collaboration with various institutions.
- Service Delivery Improvement: Improve the communication skills of extension agents to enhance service delivery to farmers.
- Professional Development: Develop positive attitudes and professional skills among graduates to ensure effective communication and fulfillment of assigned duties.
- Industry Integration: Facilitate the integration of young graduates into the agricultural industry, improving their practical experience and employability.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualifications: A BS (Hons) in Agriculture from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Age: Not more than 25 years old.
- Domicile: Must hold a domicile of the relevant district.
Application Process: Interested candidates should submit their completed application forms, along with attested copies of their domicile, CNIC, and educational documents, to the Office of the Deputy Director (Agriculture) in their relevant district. The application deadline is August 5, 2024.
